
The library´s main mission is to acquire, preserve and communicate the reading material corresponding to the disciplines taught and to the research activities in ISLAIN. It covers an area of 177m ² with a seating capacity of 90.
The Library houses about 4,000 items, including 3796 books, 30 periodicals and a large number of memoirs submitted by students in fulfillment of the requirement of the degree of License.
The paper index of the library´s resources is being progressively replaced by an electronic file accessible through terminals in the library allowing users to search the base or locate a book.The bibliographic database and periodicals will also be soon available online.
There is a team of library staff whose primary responsibility is to guide readers and help them find the information they need in the quickest possible way.
The resources of Islain Library are available for the use of our students, teachers, and members of the staff.
In general, materials in our collections are easily accessible and may be reproduced provided that the item will not be damaged by general duplication.
